Tal y como dicen en su página: “En pleno centro de la capital, zona de La Latina (c/Toledo 86), se presenta Shôko Madrid, el nuevo espacio multifuncional, que engloba restaurante, club-lounge y espacio para la celebración de todo tipo de eventos.”

Pero es que Shôko es mucho más que eso. Shôko es uno de los edificios-sala más chulos del mundo de la noche madrileña. Multifuncional, como marcan las tendencias en Londres, Nueva York, París o Berlín actualmente, Shôko recoge uno de los más exquisitos restaurantes orientales de la ciudad en su segunda planta que al comienzo de la madrugada se convierte en un espacio más de la discoteca Shôko acompañando el ambiente que desde las 12 se forma en la planta inferior y escenario. La decoración de inspiración oriental minimalista se adapta a cualquier ambiente musical y es que en Shôko conviven estilos musicales tan distintos como el funky y el house (dicho sea de paso, dos de los estilos musicales que más han crecido en los últimos años en España). Los jueves por la noche encontraréis el mejor funky, la gente más guapa de Madrid y eso sí, unas copas que se suben un poco a la parra en precios. Pero, la experiencia lo merece. Los viernes y sábados Shôko se convierte en la casa del house inundando de “buenrrollismo” a todo el mundo.
Y ahora voy con lo que para algunas de las que asistimos hace dos jueves fue lo más llamativo de Shôko: su gente. ¿Creías que las chicas de los videoclips no existían? Pues miiiic, error! Existen dobles de Rihanna, las PussyCat Dolls y Carmen Electra en Madrid!…sí señor, así son las chicas-imagen de Shôko, sus gogos y algunas de sus invitadas. Y es que a este garito acuden gente guapa y algún que otro famosillo televisisvo.
La zona VIP? Un escenario donde puedes ver cómo los que tienen dinero para ello o conocen a la gente adecuada se rodean de ángeles dignos de un anuncio de Victoria’s Secret.
Pero no te preocupes, si eres mujer también tienes dónde deleitarte la vista, y lo bueno es que los chicos guapos no se encuentran en su mayoría en la zona VIP sino que los tienes pululando a tu alrededor en la zona de abajo.
Los jueves cuentan con las gogos más impresionantes del panorama nocturno y con Hulk&Hulk (los he apodado así por lo enormes que son), los gogos masculinos y muchas chicas guapas y fans del rap con estilo.

Recomendaciones:
1.- No vayas sin pasta, las copas son 10 euros y las cervezas 7.
2.- Si puedes hacer que te metan en lista mejor.
3.- Hace muuuucho calor así que por tu propio bien, ve con ropa ligera y fresca.
4.- Si eres muy acomplejad@ no vayas porque cualquiera puede salir del garito acomplejado y con ganas de subirse a la primera bici estática que vea y pasar por la peluquería.

But Shôko is even more than that. Shôko is one of the most interesting and cool space-buildings of Madrid’s nightlife. Multi-functional, just as trends in London, New York, Berlin or Paris dictate. Shôko encounters one of the most exquisite orient style restaurants in Madrid in its second floor. The restaurant becomes part of the party at around1-2 in the morning, transforming into one more space of the Shôko disco. At Cinderella’s time, 12 at night, the Shôko building is filled up with night spirit, from the upper parts of the building to the first floor and scenery.

The Asian minimalist inspiration decoration adapts to any type of musical style. In fact, in Shôko, two very different types of music share the space: house and funky/hip-hop (I gotta say that these two have been two of the music style with greater growth in the last years in Spain).
On Thursday nights you’ll find the best funky and most beautiful people in Madrid. And although drinks are a bit expensive, one thing’s for sure: it’s worth going at least once. On Fridays and Saturdays Shôko becomes the house of house music in a cool and good mood environment for everyone to feel.
And now, I’m gonna tell you what some of the girls who went a couple of thrusdays ago saw and what we felt was the most striking thing of the place: it’s people. You thought videoclip girls didn’t exist? Wel..miiiiiiiic, error! They do exist, Rihanna, PussyCat Dolls or even Carmen Electra doubles exist in Madrid!…yes sir, that is how the Shôko image-girls are, and their gogo dancers and some of their guests. At Shôko you can see Madrid’s beautiful people and some of the Spanish famous people gathered in one place.

The V.I.P. zone? It’s the scenery, a place where you can watch the rich people or those who know the “very important people of the place” talk, mix and relate with human angels taken out of some sort of Victoria’s Secret ad.
Gogos masculinos
But don’t worry, if you’re a woman you also got men to cheer up your eyes that night and the good thing is that most atractive men aren’t at the V.I.P. place, they’re down with the rest of the mortals to interact.
On Thursdays you’ll find the most incredible body-sculputured gogo dancers of Madrid’s nights and what I have ended calling Hulk&Hulk because of how enormous they are (masculine dancers), a lot of pretty girls and rap fans with style.
My personal advise:
1.- Don’t go without money, 10 euros a cocktails and 7 euros for a beer.
2.- If you can get anyone to put you on the list, do it!
3.- It’s really really really hot in there so take little and fresh clothes.
4.- If you’re not very happy with your body don’t go cause anyone going there might end up wanting to go to the gym as soon as possible or go to the nearest beauty centre.
